And Here I Stand, Betwixt Light and Dark

The completion of the semi-conceptual trilogy beginning with 'As Witness to the Passing of Aeons', followed by 'Melancholia' and concluding here. Musically the album seeks to combine the ambient atmosphere and sections of 'As Witness...' with the aggression and raw black metal styling of 'Melancholia'. Lyrically it focuses more on human emotion as a spectrum, highlighting different ideas, and experiences than previous outputs have. The songs have attempted to bring more aggression, with harsher riffs and melodies been juxtaposed with atmospheric sections and intermingling alongside the blast-beats and tremolo sections. I also decided to include two covers on thee album; 'Golden Number' by Ghost Bath, and 'Nattens Barn' by Myrkur. This was because these two songs I feel fit  the musical themes of  the album, both been aggressive songs that have an incredible atmosphere to them, they are also both quite different from anything I've done before, and thus were fun and interesting to play and include.
