Melancholia

The 5th full length album and part two of the conceptual trilogy beginning with 'As Witness to the Passing of Aeons'. Melancholia is a much more aggressive album than the previous ones, with more blast beats, heavy riffs and vocal layering whilst still retaining some of the depressing/atmospheric overtones that have featured throughout the project, losing some of the clean guitar intervals that were heavily present on the last album however. It is focused lyrically on hatred, betrayal and the melancholy and despair that this can bring about. I decided to also include an Abyssic Hate cover that I had been meaning to do for years and promised before, as well as a cover of The Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera, as it is a song I really enjoy and wanted to put my own spin on it. It also features guest vocals on track 3 by Plagues of Burning Pantheon and Plagis:
